Happy Birthday, Jacob!

We celebrated our grandson, Jacob's birthday this weekend.  He turned three years old on Sunday.  We had a great time with family.  Three year olds are so cute.  He had alot of help from his cousins, to open his presents.  I think that he got three hockey sticks and a hockey jersey.  That was his favorite toy!  The reprimand that I heard the most was: "no high sticking".  lol.  You can tell that we are hockey fans or Blackhawk fans.  tfl.

On this day...

Our challenge for this week is a wedding or anniversary card.  This could be either one, but I don't have any weddings coming up, so it will have to be for an anniversary.  Come join us at BBTB2 with a project that you have made.  Julie is our team leader this week.  Be sure to check out the awesome projects!  This card was made from Art Philosophy for the card base, the sentiment tag and the rolled flowers.  The bride and groom came from the Simply Charmed cartridge.  The faces are from Peachy Keen.  tfl.

Hope your birthday's as sweet as you!

We have had such a beautiful spring day, today.  I actually felt like going outside to do yard work.  Weather like this makes you more motivated.  We are looking forward to a great weekend at our camper.  Love, love it!!!  This is a springy card that I made for a lady at work.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to make the strawberries.  The flower punch is from Martha Stewart.  Have a great weekend and tfl.

Walk the Plank!

We have another rainy day.  I NEED sunshine!!  My grandson's birthday was yesterday and he is 6 years old.  Wow.  We went to his house to have pizza and cake and good times.  I made this card for him using my Silhouette Cameo.  All images came from the online store.  I had so much fun making this for him.  This is my little sweetie:

I can't measure my love for you!

Hello again! I made this project for a challenge at BBTB2. The challenge by Jayne was to make a masculine themed project. That was really tough and I had to ponder it for quite a while. My husband is a carpenter so this is what came to mind. I thought I would make him a "toolbox". I used my Imagine for the measuring tapes. The cute box is from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More, 2. The hammer and screwdriver came from Boys will be Boys and the drill is from Everyday Paper Dolls. Oh and the tag is from George. I sure pulled out alot of cartridges!! tfl.

Tweetheart

Hello, here's hoping you are off to a great day.  I made this card for my Mom and Dad's anniversary.  This image came from the Silhouette online store.  The sentiment is from Straight from the nest.  This paper is from My Mind's Eye.  I have been going crazy with this paper.  The colors are so springy.  tfl.

You are BEARY special

Hello, it has been a busy week, but not too busy for some time in my craft room. This lady bug-bear came from the Silhouette online store. I actually made two cards using this image. This card is a birthday card for a lady at work, made for her daughter. She likes pink. I just love this paper, it is so feminine. I got the paper recently. It is a 6x6 paper pad from Jillibean Soup. tfl.

With Sympathy

I have had to make too many of these, lately..  This card is from Kate's abc's.  I absolutely love this paper.  It is a 6x6 paper pad from My Mind's Eye.  May we think and pray for those people affected by the horror in Boston.  It is so very hard to wrap one's mind around this horror.  tfl and have a blessed day.

Welcome Baby

Hello,  I get the honor to pick the project for this week at BBTB2.  I am so excited and priveleged to be part of this team of talented ladies.  Please check out the blog site and add your project.  We are expecting a new grandbaby at the end of May.  We do not know if it is a boy or girl, yet, but I can always make this a baby girl card.  We have so many boys in the family that I just automatically made a boy card.  This card is made using the Baby Steps cartridge for the image and Elegant Edges for the card base.  I welded the card base using my gypsy and used one of the frames on the cartridge.  I use this cartridge so much.  The tag is made using George.  tfl.

April showers bring May flowers!

Our next project at BBTB2 is to use an umbrella in your project. The good thing about showers in the spring time is the pretty flowers and so you have to have an umbrella. I love springtime!! I found my image in the Nate's ABC's cartridge. Easy card and done in a very short time. Come join us!!

One of a kind!

We are finally having spring weather, yay!!!!   My daffodils are getting ready to bloom. I had to make this card for another one of our nurses who is leaving.  I swear our office has a revolving door.  I hate the thought of training another nurse, horrors!!  This "one of a kind" card has the sentiment inside that says that no one can fill your shoes.  The card base is from Art Philosophy cartridge as well as the flowers.  The shoes are from Forever Young.  The tassle on the shoes is from Flower Shoppe.  tfl.
