Cultivate Joy!

It is all about Labor Day over at BBTB2 and so you get to pick a career of choice.  My Dad's birthday is coming up soon, so I made this card for him.  He is retired now, but was a farmer his whole life.  I know it is still very important to him and so I wanted to make this farming scene for him.  I used  the Country Life cartridge.  We had a windmill on our farm, when I was growing up, so I had to add that to the scene.  Come on over to BBTB2 and join the fun!  Happy Labor Day, too.

Magical Birthday

Susan is our wonderfully talented designer over at BBTB2 with the challenge of using fairies in our project this week.  I just had to use these photoes of my grand daughters on their birthday parties.  I had such trouble photographing this layout.  Ugh.  I have tried many times.  Anyway, I used most of the images from the Once Upon a Princess cartridge and also the little fairy from the Sesame Street cartridge.  Come and join us!

Gift Tags and Boxes

I made this tag for a challenge over at BBTB2 and Maureen is our amazingly, talented designer with the challenge for this week.  We are to make a gift tag or box.  The tag was made using George and the flowers and leaves were from the Artiste cartridge.  I love this sweet Prima Doll that I got from a sweet friend.  It was so much fun playing with it.  Come and join the fun.  tfl.

I made this layout for the challenge over at BBTB2 which is to use alot of flower accents.  Marti has chosen the challenge for this week.  Who better to choose from than the Anna Griffin cartridges for flower accents.  This is a photo of my husband and I when we were married.  The layout is one of the Make It Now projects.  tfl.

New Explore Air 2

I was having issues with my Explore.  The first thing that happened was my writing/scoring clamp was loose.  I got the instructions to fix it, which my husband was wonderful to help me with.  I tried to print and cut again, but my Explore couldn't find my registration marks.  It kept looking for it about 1 1/2 inches beyond the starting point.  Anyway, Cricut sent me a new Explore Air 2.  Isn't that great customer service.  Thank you so much to Cricut and K Hard, who was a big help.

Fun and Sun!

Laurie is our talented designer with the challenge over at BBTB2 and it is all about the beach or water fun.  These images from the Pirates and Mermaids cartridge which were free for a week and I took full advantage of them.  I will find a picture of the grands to add to this layout.  It was lots of fun to create.  Come and join us for some hot summer fun.  tfl.

Vintage Box

Laura chose for the challenge of the week to make a 3d project over at BBTB2.  I found my little box (and it is little) in the Tags, Bags, Boxes and more 2 cartridge.  I put a little band at the bottom to help it keep it's shape.  The flowers, leaves and doily are from the Artiste cartridge and the tag from George.  Now to figure out what to do with it, lol.  It was fun to try something other than cards!  Come and join us and check out what my amazing design sisters have come up with.  tfl.
