Merry Christmas Nativity Scene


I love the theme for our challenge over at BBTB2.  Susan has chosen to use a Nativity scene or a Menorah on our card or project.  I chose these images from A Quilted Christmas.  I love this cartridge, although I have issues with some of these intricate cuts.  UGH.  I followed a sketch from the Mojomonday blog.  These sketches really help to motivate me.  Come and join us and link up your project with us.  I can't wait to see what you come up with.  tfl.

Noel



Hello again, I have the challenge this week, over at BBTB2.  I thought it would be fun to have wording be the focus of your card or project.  This label came from the Artfully Sent cartridge and I then re-arranged the wording to where I wanted it.  I like using the slice feature in the Design Space.  The carolers came from the Winter Frolic cartridge.  I would love to see what you come up with.  There are so many ideas!! tfl.

Merry Christmas Wreath

So Very Thankful!


We are having another Thanksgiving theme over at BBTB2 and Susan has chosen anything with "thanks or thankful".  Well you really can't make a project for Thanksgiving without it, right?  For the label, I used an image from Lacey Labels, the pumpkins from Pooh and Friends and the corn schalk is from my Silhouette Cameo.  The grass came from Zooballoo.  I used quite a few different cartridges.  I thank God for my many blessings and His guidance in my life.  I could not go through life without His care.  tfl.

Trick or Treat




This is another Halloween card for the challenge over at BBTB2 and Marti has chosen to use a flourish on our card or project.  I am still in the Halloween mode and decided to make a Halloween card.  The images came from the Create with Flourish cartridge and I made this into an easel card.  I put some stickles on the moon.  Come and check out what my design sisters have come up with.

Monster Mash


Here are a couple of some little monsters for a Halloween card for my grandkids.  I got the images from the Mini Monsters and Create a Critter 2 cartridges.  Other than that, easy peasy.  I am so enjoying the fall season.  We just got back from a trip to North Carolina to see my parents.  We always enjoy hiking in the beautiful mountains.  Our son Kenton came along, too.  I am always enjoying the time spent with our boys.  tfl.

Movie Night



L.B. is our talented designer with the challenge over at BBTB2 and she has chosen the theme of Movie Night.   It is Popcorn month, so what do you think of when you eat popcorn, but movies.  I made this layout using several cartridges.  It is so easy to find what you are looking for in the Cricut Design Space, but then I forget where I got the images.  I had to go back and figure it out.  I think they were from Movie Night, Artiste, When I Was A Kid and Artbooking.  Now I have to find a picture to put in it.  tfl.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to make this card.  I used one of my stamps for the spider web and for the face, I used the Peachy Kean faces.  I got the idea from Pinterest.  Don't you just love all the great ideas on Pinterest.  Fall is definitely in the air!  We have had some wonderful sunny days, here.  tfl.

Back to School



Michelle is our talented designer from BBTB2 with the challenge of Back to School.  I bet you know some little ones that are headed back to school.  My layout is to display pictures of my grandchildren on their first day back to school.  Big Bird came from the Sesame Street Seasons cartridge and the layout is from Family Album.  The school came from My Community cartridge.  One of my grandsons was so excited, he was bouncing off the walls and wanted to leave for school way before it was time to go.  It was so funny.  Come and join the fun at BBTB2.  tfl.

On the Map


L.B. has chosen the travel theme for this week over at BBTB2.  I found this neat image from the Graphically Speaking cartridge.  The lady with the camera was an image from the Pack Your Bags cartridge, using my Explore.  I don't know what or who I will give this card to, but it was fun to make.  I like making paper dolls and especially when I was a kid.  My sister and I used to fight over the latest Sears or Penneys catalogs.  Come and join the fun and check out what my talented design sisters have come up with.  tfl.

Get Your Game On!



Susan has chosen our challenge of stars, to go with the Fourth of July holiday, over at BBTB2.   I went in a totally different direction.  We have had alot of birthdays and so I made this card for my grand son.  He is really into playing games and so I made this shutter card.  I used my Silhouette Cameo for some of the images and also used my Cricut Explore for the stars.  The cartridge that I used was Artbooking.  Come and join the fun. tfl.

In my Garden



I have been enjoying doing some shabby chic projects.  What can I say, I love doing girly type cards.  Melanie has chosen a gardening theme over at BBTB2.  There are so many images to use with this challenge.  I have been out in my garden and have enjoyed all the flowers that are coming up.  It is soon time for me to put in my vegetable garden.  I try at least, I don't know how sucessful that I am in doing this.  I love this paper called Secret Garden from Kaisercraft.  I can't wait to see all the garden projects.  Come and join us.  tfl.

I made this card for a good friend who is moving to Florida.  I will miss her terribly.  Have you ever made a friend instantly, that is this case with this special lady.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to make the card base, so the scooter would slide in the slot.  The lady on the scooter is from the Sweethearts cartridge, palm tree from Sesame Street Seasons and the sun from Poo and Friends.  This card was made for the challenge over at BBTB2.  Laurie is our talented designer in charge of the challenge this week, which is to use a tree on our card or project.  Please come and join the fun!!  tfl.

Thankful for you!



Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful mothers out there.  We are to use a flower vase or a bouquet of flowers to celebrate this special day.  Emily is our talented designer with the challenge this week over at BBTB2.  I used the cartridge Spring Fling to make my vase and flowers.  I enjoy using this cartridge with the pen feature and cut.  It adds so much to the image.  I am sending this card to my mother in law.  Hope she likes it.  Come and join us, I can't wait to see all the bouquets of flowers.  tfl.

There are so many birdie images to choose from for our challenge over at BBTB2.  I am hosting for   Brenda who has chosen the fun challenge of using a bird in our card or project.  I decided to go vintage and make this card for my mother in law's birthday.  She likes birdies and used to feed them and watch for them in her yard.  She is in assisted living now, so I wanted to bring the birdie inside to her.  The bird house is from Cindy Lou as well as the flourish.  The birdie came from Create a Critter, the flowers and leaves from Artiste and the tag is from George.  Come and join the fun!!  tfl.

New Puppy

A friend of mine recently got a new lab puppy.  I made this congratulations card on the new "baby".  He is so cute with all that puppy sweetness.  It was hard for me to leave him and made me want a new puppy, just for a moment.  I made this card using my Silhouette Cameo and the online store.

Easter Wishes


I made this card for the challenge over at BBTB2 and Melanie has chosen our challenge for this week.  We are to put a bulb flower in our card or project.  I love using flowers in my projects.  I think they make everyone feel good.  I found these lilies on the Easter Blessings cartridge.  The background is from the Artfully Sent Cartridge.  I moved the Easter Wishes from the lower part of the card and put it on the top by slicing it.  I am trying to perfect this technique.  Come and join the fun.  tfl.

Happy Easter, Happy Spring!




Hello, I was asked to be a guest designer for the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons site.  You just have to check out the cute images!!  There are so many fun things that I just wanted to try.  In the end, I came up with these two cards.  I totally enjoyed working with the images.  The first card is a step card and I love all the egg cuts and the Hoppy Easter title.  The second card is very simeple.  This little duckie, I have used before and I think he is soooo cute. Thanks again for choosing me and thanks for looking!!
